To deal with this, Australia has released a Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) – a list of skilled occupations that the Australian government has assessed will be needed to fill critical skills needed to support Australia’s economic recovery.Use our calculator to check if you’re eligible to immigrate to Australia [Click here]What it means if your occupation is on the PMSOL?Visa applications from applicants with an occupation on the PMSOL list are given priority processing under the following visa subclasses:Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visaEmployer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) visaThat means, if you qualify, you will be granted an exemption to travel to Australia. You can apply for this exemption yourself, or your employer may do it for you. The mandatory 14-day quarantine period, however, will still apply and will still be at the traveller or sponsor’s expense.What jobs are included?First announced in September 2020, the PMSOL is a temporary list and subject to change as the Australian government assesses the impact of COVID-19 on the Australian labour market and the resulting changing skill demands.On June 27, 2021, the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alex Hawke announced the inclusion of 3 occupations to the PMSOL – Hospital Pharmacist, Industrial Pharmacist and Retail Pharmacist.There are now 44 occupations on the PMSOL.You can check the website for The Department of Home Affairs for the most up-to-date information and the complete PMSOL. 84915109
