COVID-19 in 2020 versus COVID-19 in 2022 are like two sides of the same coin. While they’re still the same virus, they may differ in terms of symptoms, severity and long term complications. Variants like the alpha, beta and the delta took a severe toll on our health and raised our risk of other health conditions. But its successor – the Omicron – although more transmissible, seems to cause milder infections.
