Police busted a rave party held at an isolated stretch in Thane’s Kasarwadavli creek, nearly 2km off the busy Ghodbunder road, in the wee hours of Sunday and detained 95 revellers, including five women, and arrested the two organisers. Following a tipoff, a joint team from crime branch unit-V Wagle Estate and unit-II Bhiwandi swooped down on the revellers – mostly students and call centre employees – around 3am. The organisers – Tejas Kubal (23) and Sujal Mahajan (19) – and the 95 guests were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Maharashtra Prohibition Act.
