The incident occurred when veteran producer Boney was discussing the South Indian cinema’s impact on the overseas market. Vamsi interrupted him in a manner deemed disrespectful by Gupta and many netizens. Gupta described Vamsi’s attitude as ‘fake and obnoxious’.
