At the annual IFA event in Germany, various brands showcase their upcoming products. In the ongoing 2015 event, a number of manufacturers have launched products across categories (Phone, tablet, smartwatch, computers etc.) and majority of these will be coming to India over the coming months. Smartphones 1. Lenovo Phab Plus – Lenovo’s first phablet comes with a 6.8-inch full HD display and runs Android 5.0 on an octa core Snapdragon 615 processor. Other hardware specifications include 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 3,500mAh battery. You also get aa 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, dual SIM support, 4G connectivity and expandable storage. 2. Lenovo Vibe P1 – The Vibe P1 has a 5.5-inch full HD display along with a fingerprint sensor for security. Hardware specifications include octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Other features include 13MP camera with phase detection autofocus, 5MP front camera, 4G connectivity, WiFi, NFC and hybrid SIM slot (SIM slot 2 can be used for storage expansion). 3. Lenovo Vibe S1 – Aimed at selfie enthusiasts, the S1 boasts of dual front cameras – 8MP + 2MP (secondary camera provides depth of field). Powered by a 1.7Ghz octa core Mediatek processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, this one has a 2,500mAh battery. On the rear is a 13MP camera while the front has a 5-inch full HD display. There is also dual SIM support, expandable storage, 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. 4. Sony Xperia Z5 range – Sony has launched three phones under the Xperia Z5 name – Xperia Z5, Z5 compact and Z5 premium. All three phones are IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, 5MP front camera and 23MP camera with phase detection autofocus and 4k video recording support. Common hardware specification includes Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM (2GB RAM on Z5 compact) and 32GB storage. The Z5 premium is the world’s first smartphone with a 4k resolution display (5.5-inch, 3840 x 2160 pixels). The Z5 has a 5.2-inch full HD display while the Z5 compact has a 4.6-inch HD display. Tablets 1. Acer Predator 8 – This gaming focused tablet from Acer weighs just 350 grams but runs on an Intel Atom x7 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It boasts of an 8-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display that the company claims has 100 per cent color gamut accuracy. Moreover, it has four front facing speaker with virtual surround sound.
