MUMBAI: A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Jabalpur Saturday had a near severe accident when it hit a herd of wild boars that strayed into the runway of the Jabalpur airport. The flight was being operated on a Bombardier Q400 plane. The airline’s pilot Amartya Basu diverted the plane towards the left of the runway to moderate the impact. “Damage to the aircraft is still being assessed, however all the 49 passengers and 4 crew members are absolutely safe,” said the airline in a statement.
