Jindal Steel & Power has won two coal blocks for commercial coal mining purposes in Odisha by offering a revenue share of 15.25%. The coal blocks, Utkal B1 & B2, have geological reserves of 347 million tonnes and a peak rated capacity of 8 million tonnes, an official statement said. Twenty First Century Mining Pvt Ltd won a coal in Jharkhand by offering 6% revenue share. The Rabodih OCP coal block has geological reserves of 133 million tonnes and a peak rated capacity is 2.50 million tonnes. BS Ispat won Chinora coal mine in Maharashtra by offering 53% share. The mine has reserves of 18 million tonnes and has 0.26 million tonnes peak rated capacity.On the first day of the e-auction, four coal mines (under CMSP Act) were put up for auction, the statement said. All four coal mines are fully explored coal mines. The total geological reserves for these coal mines are 498.10 Million Tonnes. Cumulative PRC for these coal mines is 10.76 MT per year, it said.
