MUMBAI: Maharashtra government has permitted the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for filing charge-sheets against senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal on charges of graft in the Kalina library land deal and the Maharashtra Sadan scams. A senior Maharashtra home department official, who did not wish to be named, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had sanctioned the proposals granting ACB the permission to file charge-sheets in both the cases. The ACB, which had filed FIRs against Bhujbal in both the cases in June, had first sought the government’s permission to file charge-sheets in July. The ACB has pressed charges of misconduct and misuse of office against Bhujbal, a former Minister, over irregularities in the Kalina land deal case and corruption in the Maharashtra Sadan case.
