NEW DELHI: Online marketplace ShopClues.com will partner a new government initiative to preserve traditional ancestral arts and crafts of minorities and market such products. ShopClues has signed a memorandum of understanding with the ministry of minority affairs to become online partner for the scheme christened Ustaad. “ShopClues will help beneficiaries of the ministry, mainly artisans, to understand existing demand in the ecommerce market,” the company said a statement issued on Thursday. The move will help open up marketing opportunities for these artisans, it said. ShopClues, funded by Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners and Tiger Global, has a customer base of 6.5 million and clocks about 1.5 million transactions a month.
