TruJet offers a free-flying to old age home mates on 4th anniversary

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad headquartered regional air carrier TruJet has on its fourth anniversary offered an opportunity to 45 elderly people of old age home fly over clouds free of cost on Sunday from Hyderabad to Nanded and back under its ‘Wings of Pride’ program. These elderly people belonging to St Anthony’s Old Age Home in Malkajigiri of Hyderabad were provided the wonderful experience of first-time air travel.The senior citizens were taken to Gurudwara on reaching Nanded for the blessings of priests and were provided with lunch before flying them back to Hyderabad.In a statement, the low-cost air carrier said the old age home mates were thrilled for the once in a lifetime experience offered to them. Earlier, as a part of corporate social responsibility service for orphans, the staff of TruJet on Saturday conducted several programs for the children at Spoorthy Orphanage in Dundigal of Hyderabad. The pilots, captains, air hostesses and other crew members of the airline participated in the cake cutting program for the children, apart from presenting them toys and gifts, before having lunch with around 200 children of the orphanage.In the past, TruJet had provided free air travel to the children of various orphanages and offered free transport of relief goods in Kerala, apart from helping to shift the trapped flood victims to safer destinations.The low-cost air carrier, which was awarded twenty new routes in the Western and Eastern states in early this year, is looking at organic and inorganic growth opportunities to meet the fast emerging demand for its services.
