The AIADMK has stated that it is not in alliance with the BJP in Tamil Nadu and any decision on a tie-up will be made during elections. The AIADMK accused the Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai of working against an alliance between the two parties. It criticized Annamalai for his comments about Dravidian stalwart C N Annadurai, stating that party workers will not tolerate any disrespect towards the late chief minister.
