Boeing has asked operators of Boeing 737 MAX globally, including Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa, to inspect tie rods controlling rudder movement for loose hardware. The Directorate General of India (DGCA) confirms that the necessary checks are being carried out as per Boeing’s instructions. The issue does not impact the operations of Akasa and SpiceJet, who operate a combined total of 32 B737 MAX aircraft. The B737 MAX was previously grounded globally but was allowed to fly again after safety improvements.
