Countries agree to make road safety a political priority; some make big commitments

Ministers from 100 countries endorsed the Marrakech Declaration for Global Road Safety, promoting political priority and sustained funding to halve road deaths by 2030. Commitments include Thailand’s target to reduce road deaths, Bangladesh’s new safety law, and Saudi Arabia’s updated strategy. The conference, hosted by Morocco, aims to advance safe, green, and equitable mobility.
