Following two back to back cases of Air India pilots-in-command inviting friends over to the flight deck, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) chief Vikram Dev Dutt on Friday issued an advisory to airlines to check this practice. He has warned airlines of strict action in cases of violations. For instance, licences of all four pilots on these two AI pilots have been suspended for upto a year and the airline was fined in one case for not reporting the same in time.
