A defective helicopter airlifted by an IAF Mi-17 for repairs crashed near the Mandakini river in Lincholi, narrowly avoiding a group of pilgrims. The pilot lost control due to strong winds but managed to ensure the helicopter fell away from populated areas. No major damage or loss of life occurred.
