India plans interstate cheetah conservation complex

India aims to develop an interstate cheetah conservation complex in the Kuno-Gandhi Sagar landscapes across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan within 25 years. A fresh batch of cheetahs will be introduced to Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary by year-end, with a goal of managing a metapopulation of 60-70 cheetahs under Project Cheetah.
