Indian-origin Bruhat Soma won the National Spelling Bee competition in the US after a lightning-round tiebreaker in Tampa, Florida. His most recent setback occurred in September at the WishWin senior spelling bee. He is the 29th Indian-American the winner of the competition and second straight champion from Tampa, Florida.
