Anti-Muslim racism in France has been on the rise since the Hamas attack in October. Muslims in the country face scapegoating, particularly from far-right groups. The French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM) criticized the exploitation of Middle Eastern violence to incite hatred against Muslims and refused to participate in an anti-antisemitism march. Islamophobic acts have also been reported, and political leaders have been silent on the issue.
