Arjun Munda, Madhu Koda, Raghubar Das, and now Champai Soren – Jharkhand’s mineral-rich Kolhan division has sprung its fourth CM in the state’s 23 years of political history.Champai, aged 68, is a six-term MLA representing Seraikela (ST reserve) constituency in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. He entered the Bihar assembly for the first time as an independent legislator in 1991 and has since retained the seat, except for a loss in 2000 to Anantram Tudu of BJP.
