Speaking at the World Economic Forum, EAM S Jaishankar said that while the world has become more nationalistic, “a lot of that nationalism is economic nationalism and cultural nationalism”. He said that in India’s case, “nationalism is not a negative sentiment directed at the world” and it does not come in the way of India “engaging more with the world”.
