Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams have been announced for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Veteran striker Akashdeep Singh and young talent Karthi Selvam have been excluded from the men’s team, while Lalit Upadhyay returns. Hockey India selectors have dropped three players from the Asian Champions Trophy, while drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh and midfielder Hardik Singh will retain their captain and vice-captain roles.
